The sun did finally break thru on Sunday afternoon, April 20th for the 15th annual Earth Day celebration at the LAB and the CAMP. Over 40 local businesses and non-profit organizations congregated with the common goal of raising awareness about conservation of our natural resources and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. This event was also a proud participant in the ongoing Imagination Celebration. Activities included: chalk art, coloring contests by Elemental Awareness, pottery demonstrations and the continuing community mosaic art wall project. Food samplings were provided by 118 Degrees, Native Foods, Old Vine Cafe, Gypsy Den and Milk + Honey. Buffalo Exchange generously donated over $2,000. to the Galapagos Conservancy from their $1 sale that day. Used shoes and skateboards collected at Active Ride Shop are on their way to new life in a Mexican Orphanage. Thanks to all who participated and attended!!
